Absolutely. We welcome and enjoy collaborating with freelance engineers. Our team will handle all studio setup and breakdown to ensure a smooth session. We simply ask that your engineer provide an input list in advance. Once that’s received, we’ll take care of the rest.

While home recording technology has come a long way and can produce impressive results, a professional studio offers something more: an environment purpose-built for focus, collaboration, and sonic excellence. It’s a space where creativity thrives, distractions disappear, and magic often happens allowing us to capture performances that just don’t emerge the same way at home.

Here at Spectra Studios, we charge at an hourly rate ($120/hr). Most session 'days' last between 8-10 hours.

Smoking is not permitted inside the studio. However, we do offer a comfortable outdoor area with a fire pit where you're welcome to relax and smoke.

We require a 50% deposit upon booking to reserve the session date. Deposit is transferable to a later date up to 72 hours prior to the session.

The other 50% is due the morning of the booked session. We are not allowed to release media until the studio time has been paid in full.

We do not archive or store client sessions. To ensure optimal system performance, all drives are formatted after each session. It is the client’s responsibility to bring an external hard drive to back up and transfer all session files at the conclusion of their booking. Please make arrangements in advance, as we are unable to guarantee file recovery once a session has ended.

Our preferred piano tuner charges $130 to tune the piano.
